چکیده
(Reviewer 1): You started the procedure with a 6 fr right femoral artery sheath. Considering the standard size of the sheath, why didn't you choose a radial artery access? As previously published in this paper: Seven french radial artery access for PCI: a prospective single-center experience, a larger radial artery sheath is feasible and well tolerated by the patients. Successful percutaneous coronary intervention for an in-stent chronic total occlusion in a patient with dextrocardia: a case report
BACKGROUND Percutaneous coronary interventions of chronic total occlusion represent one of the most challenging issues in interventional cardiology. A Caucasian patient with dextrocardia presented with an in-stent chronic total occluded right coronary artery, a constellation which has not been described previously in the literature. CASE PRESENTATION A 69-year-old man with pre-known situs inv...
متن کاملSuccessful Antegrade Recanalization of Chronic Total Aorto-ostial in Stent Occlusion of Right Coronary Artery with Previously Implanted Protruding Stent
Recanalization of coronary artery chronic total occlusions is a rapidly developing domain of percutaneous coronary interventions requiring considerable operator expertise. Tackling any aorto-ostial lesion with previously implanted stent that protrudes into aorta presents anatomical and technical challenge significantly reducing procedure success rates and is an obstacle when considering antegra...

Situs inversus with dextrocardia is a rare condition, with complete transposition of all the body organs, including the heart. Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in these patients is technically difficult because of the mirror image of organs. Here, we describe a 56-year-old man with coronary heart disease with known situs inversus with dextrocardia and coronary percutaneous intervention ...
متن کاملAcute myocardial infarction in an 80 year-old woman caused by left main occlusion with concomitant chronic total occlusions of right and left coronary artery: successful treatment with percutaneous revascularization.
Although acute left main coronary artery occlusion is rare, it carries a very high mortality rate. Following the encouraging results of trials testing the effect of primary percutaneous coronary intervention, more cases of left main stenosis are treated as culprit lesion in acute myocardial infarction. Few cases of primary percutaneous intervention on left main occlusion have been published. We...
متن کاملPrimary percutaneous coronary intervention in a patient with dextrocardia.
The case of a 40-year-old male with dextrocardia who presented with ST Elevated Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) is reported. Coronary angiogram was performed after due manipulation and then successful primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) of Left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery was done. His 9 months follow up primary PCI in a patient with angiogram revealed patent stent in p...
